President's Message
Dear Friend,
As our busy season starts to wind down, we can look back on a
year of transition and growth for the CICA. If you have visited us this
year, some of our changes are visible, such as the expanding web site,
membership stickers for vehicles and a toll free number.
Other changes
are perhaps not so visible but ongoing. The CICA University remains
strong. Its main goal being educating those who strive for excellence in
their profession. Once a year it gives us all an opportunity to really
connect and in these difficult days provides a safe place close to home.
We are working towards offering smaller classes throughout the calender
year. We may be able to reach more individuals that would like to expand
their knowledge base and become a member of the CICA.
Membership is
what preserves all this and makes our programs possible. With your help,
we need to stimulate our membership growth. This may include marketing
techniques, reaching out to the green industry and working with the
State of Connecticut to enforce licensing.
Your membership gives us
the assurance that we are doing the right thing at the CICA.
